I'm a singer/songwriter from Georgia. Currently in the "artist development" stage, I try to write music that will mean something to those that listen. A good song is like a mirror, everyone who listens should be able to see themself in the song in some way.
"Hearts Undivided" is my first single. I wrote this song with Steve Hacker because a couple of my friends, who were a romantic couplewere having to move to opposites sides of the country. I've been sad for them, and sad for the rest of us who were such a close group of friends that now, for the first time, have to experience the pain and adjustment of losing daily contact with someone that you care about. So this song is for everyone who has to be separated from someone that they love. But know that even if distance separates, hearts that care remain undivided.
I was inspired to write "Bring My Daddy Home" at Christmas because I felt so sad for the children of soldiers who are deployed and can't have their parents home with them for the holidaysand the fear that must be there all the time that maybe they won't ever get to come home.
"Til the Season Comes Round again" is a new Christmas song I found when recording my Christmas album that has become one of my favorites.
I wrote, "How Will I know When It's Real" after I heard someone say that whenever someone breaks your heart, that there is always a piece of it that you never get back. And usually you are slower to trust someone else when they come into your life because of the prior experience. But broken hearts will heal to sing again and that is really what the song is about.not the question, but the answer.
Sort of taking a break from writing for now. Focusing on performance tactics, while of course juggling being a student at LaGrange College (LaGrange, GA), and trying to grow as an artist.
This is my first music video that I created and edited.I dance for the South Georgia Ballet and these are all my dance friends.I MISS YOU GUYS! ;)
