About memmmmm.well I started to DJ back when i was around 17 taking it up as a hobby and then through my brother when I was around 19, I was doing a few warm up sets for Chris Paul at the old Orange Raves at Camden Palacewhat an experience, thank you Chris for giving me that opportunity, something I'll never forget, my first ever time of playing out and i'm playing in the main room of Camden Palace, what can I say, was a real buzz.
I guess I got into DJing through my brother DJ Squirrel, who played at all the Orange events from Camden Place, Rocket, Hippodrome and Astoria, going out with him all the time gave me the buzz to do it myself and my brother has been a great inspiration to me. It also gave me the opportunity to meet some really good people on the scene, both Drum & Bass and Old Skool. He still plays out at the infamous Moondance raves, resident at Promised Land at Koko (shout out to Mr Phil Good) and many more, so I get to go out with him and network as much as possible.
I was resident at a bar/club in south London for a year before it closed down then I decided to give up DJing work and concentrate on getting myself a profession in the sense of having security in my life as back then it was hard to break into the music industry as a DJ.
I took up DJing again a couple of years ago and after practicing alot during this time, I would like to get back out and play in the clubs in London etc.Funki you know you need to give those warm up sets you promised. Funki who runs Moondance, one of my good good friends, owe him alot and he's showed me alotbeen a good friend Funks, big up.
The music I play is Old Skool, anything from 89 - 92 with tunes by Joe Smooth, Raze, Debbie Malone etc and also Drum & Bass and Funky House along with some soul classics such as Mantronix, Cheryl Lynn, Cameo and old skool House.
Working on producing some music too, Funky House and Breakbeatswatch this space.
