As one of North Carolina's up and coming producers, Marshall LAW originally started his career as an emcee in a local group named SET CAMP some 14 years ago. SET CAMP consisted of 5 emcees with different styles yet a common goal, to be heard. The dedication and motivation of SET CAMP landed them a spot on DJ NEXT's mixtape "A VIBE CALLED NEXT" which was nominated for "best mixtape of the year" in 1999. Later that year SET CAMP was featured in URB magazine as an up and coming threat with great concepts and strong lyrics. While still with SET CAMP, Marshall LAW formed a duo with local artist TY called SARKAZUM. In 2000 SARKAZUM landed the title track and also two additional tracks on the movie "GROUPIES" starring BILL NUNN (Radio Raheem in Do the right thing) CHRYSTALE WILSON(Players club), and CAMERON GIPP(Gipp of Goodie Mobb) which was released January of 2001 and then re-released September 2003. During the year of 2000 SET CAMP expanded its members from 5 to 8 and became URF MOVAZ(United Raw Family). It was during this time that Marshall LAW began producing tracks. As the years passed, Marshall LAW slowly transitioned from emcee to producer. The year 2005 marked the introduction of Marshall LAW's production to the industry. In 2005 Marshall LAW went on to win 6 beat battles including the NCCU beat battle held by 9th Wonder and the 2005 North Carolina Superbeat championship held by the Blitz Brothers. With a Diverse sound from hard hitting tracks to melodic R&B Marshall LAW continues his dedication to music and his undeniable talent as a producer in todays music business. In August of 2006, Marshall LAW entered Sam Ash's beat battle in Richmond, VA taking home the title and trophy for Best Club Banger. On October 18th, 2006, LAW won the iStandard Producer Showcase (with a score of 119 out of a possible 120 in front of Industry Judges) in NY,NY at Remote Lounge hosted by J Hatch. In February of 2007, Marshall LAW and Co. went to Phoenix, AZ for Money Management's first annual Producer's Conference. While in Phoenix, LAW met multi-platinum and Grammy Nominated superproducer SCRAM JONES (Mariah Carey's "Your Girl"). Shortly after this trip, SCRAM JONES of BEAST MUSIC made the trip to Raleigh, NC to hear more of Marshall LAW's production and see who he really is. In May of 2007, it became official that Marshall LAW is now the newest addition to BEAST MUSIC, INC. Look for Marshall LAW to appear in liner notes in the near future!
