HISTORY.
Lauren grew up in a musical family. her grandfather was a professional Jazz musician, playing with the likes of Ted Heath and with his own orchestra at the BBC. Her sisters, brother, cousins and parents are mostly musical or artistic in some way. Her mother is a talented poet and her sister, Mara, a very good singer and actress.
For 2 years, Lauren held the vocal and percussion chair with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Great Britain. She has performed on the same stage as Jazz legends Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, Tina May, Benny Golson, Roger Nobes, Ian Shaw, Len Skeat (Peggy Lee's bass player), Ronnie Verrall (Animal from The Muppets), and Jamie Cullum. She was also a member of female vocal harmony group, The Scarletz, for 2 years, and in 2007 they auditioned for the X Factor, making it into bootcamp as one of the final 18 bands (performing infront of Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Dani Minogue and Louis Walsh).



NOW.
She is currently signed as a song writer to Toolroom Publishing Ltd. Her catalogue includes catchy and thought provoking material, where many of her lyrics address character development, morals, and social issues. for example, binge drinking, recycling, coping with change, bullying, the benefits of exercise. many of her songs have been co-written with london based, multi-talented Gavin Beckwith. www.gb-sound.co.uk
SUCCESS SO FAR.
Radio airplay on BBC and various other local and international stations (UK, US, Denmark, Germany, Japan & Australia)
Lauren's song "My Child" was chosen by Johnson & Johnson as the official song in their charity campaign for "Safe Kids Worldwide", helping to prevent accidental childhood death and injury. In 2009 she performed "My Child" on Lauren Booth's (Tony Blair's sister-in-law) TV show, "Remember the Children of Palestine", and accompanied singer Najam Sheraz (a household name in Pakistan) on his world peace anthem, "Only Love".
She has performed throughout the UK, US, and Pakistan.
TV appearances include ITV2, MTV, Indus TV and PTV.



OBJECTIVES.
After having embarked on a spiritual journey, Lauren feels that music can really make a difference. Her aim is to spread positivity, using music as a medium to make people think, and feel. She has been likened to Natasha Bedingfield, Freddie mercury, and Karen Carpenter.
