With the release of WEST OF DETROIT, her new CD , Singer-songwriter Laura Creamer continues to step out on her own.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, her first professional performance was singing a commercial for Kroger Foods at the age of ten. Laura performed in school productions, singing and acting, then continued to study music and theatre at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Since moving to Los Angeles, her career has mostly been in supporting roles, singing and arranging backing vocals for hit acts like Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, Glenn Frey, The Scorpions, Thomas Dolby, Bruce Hornsby, Joe Walsh & Kid Rock. She has also written songs for movies and television. "The supporting roles make me feel productive - like I'm helping to make something work" says Laura.

But things began to evolve for her solo career when she sang lead on the title cut of Jim Brickman's album BY HEART, which climbed to number 8 on the AC charts. She also recorded her own rendition of BY HEART for her own CD. You can listen to it in the music player!

One of the things that Laura is best known for is her version of "Bonny Portmore" from the TV series "Highlander" from the episode 'Homeland' The Music and lyrics are traditional, this song was arranged and adapted by Roger Bellon. People are always writing to Laura to ask where they can buy this song, well now they can. The song appears on the CD Highlander Series: Volume II and can be purchased directly from Bellchant Records.A little known trivia fact: Laura was the model for the drawing of the girl on the album cover!!

On WEST OF DETROIT, Laura's latest CD featuring her original songs, she is joined by Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, David Vidal and other talented musicians she has worked with. The CD can be ordered directly from Laura's website
