the launch

The still recent history of the launch has its origin in the spring 2002, when Angelo Circolone and conan elias discovered their common preference for music. While guitarist and composer conan_elias already looked back on a longer musical prehistory, songwriter and singer Angelo Circolone went on unusual terrain. After first experiments in their living room both created the band crowfield! still in the same year. The living room was exchanged against a practice room, in which those meanwhile five musicians comprehensive band could leave their rock/pop melodies to free run.

They re-designed their practice room to a studio. In two months of hard work they produced the 4-track CD "33 rpm stereo adventures" in self-direction, under the direction of conan_elias. Unfortunately this first work found only to little attention outside of a sworn group of fans. However this fact did no abort to the work on further songs. In the following three years the band got appearances by numerous valuable live experiences. This time was also coined by several changes of band mates, whereby further projects advanced only slowly. From this the desire for a new challenge, apart from the rock/pop- mainstream developed within the two bandleaders. The common interest in electronic sound installations brought the solo project the launch at the end of 2004. Inspired of the first work "cruel desire" and "dark_night", they decided to pursue the new project more intensively. In the following months conan_elias refined his knowledge within the range of programming sounds and soundfiles whereby the PC was promoted to a firm and very estimated component. With the rapid progressing of the project the launch felt itself ready to present the new sounds to the public in the spring 2005. By longer co-operation with the KMI (Krefelder Musiker Initiative) such a possibility was already offered to concert in June 2005 in the context of an unplugged concert series. In the remaining two months up to the gig the launch provided a strong live concept of 10 Songs. Due to the short preparation time the songs could be sufficient for live requirements only. A fact to those the success of the first gig however could not diminish. The launch found a successful reinforcement in three guest musicians for this evening (PC master, bass and Background). The gig exceeded expectations of the musicians and put the foundation-stone for the album appeared now. Before sold off house the launch pulled the listeners into their spell with their chill-pop and disturbed sounds and so provided the completely inspired audience with a musical journey. The producer of the small independent label, boekel-records brought the crowning conclusion of this evening. Almost overwhelmed of the launchs music and performance he spontaneously offered the launch a common CD production. Positively encouraged by this successful first gig Angelo Circolone and conan_elias worked with untiring employment on the advancement and completion of their songs in the following months. Fourteen in music singular songs developed in intensive work until the end of the year. Already during the recording sessions they decided also to take the bassist of crowfield!, Andrea Grieco as a firm mate on board. His musical knowledge and his way to play the bass were a welcome enriching for the project. Once completed the songs could be submitted of a locking refinement. The album "morgen elektro", appeared in the spring 2006 is now the first production of this brilliant trio, on which they present nine of their songs already produced. The versatile linkage of different musical directions and the uniquely disturbing sounds embedded therein open a relaxed and at the same time exciting journey to each fan by new music worlds. The launch will strengthen their live line up for the summer 2006 additionally with a drummer and a keyboarder to present their chill pop and to give a short time-out to their much estimated electronic band member. One may be strained thus on the new, as the launch will present their sounds live on stage.
