More people have seen or heard the members of Las Vegas Basement than probably realise it!

They have recorded and play live with 3 Meteor 2008 Award winners….Duke Special, Mundy and Cathy Davey… and also with The Pale, Pugwash, Autamata and Jack L among others.

Collaborations that have brought them from the smallest venues….to Glastonbury; shared stages with many, from Bob Dylan to The White Stripes; and brought them onto the small screen giant that is the ‘Later with Jools Holland’ show….

But still Las Vegas Basement is the project they all hold dearest to their hearts……



A Dublin 4 piece, they have known and worked with each other for about 8 years. In 2003 they released their own debut LP, ‘End of an Era’, to critical acclaim. Touring with the release brought them to Europe and twice to the US east coast. But prior commitments on the Irish scene meant that there was a finite time that could be given to the ‘End of an Era’ project. The next few years saw them returning to record, tour and promote with others, while trying to write and plan for the ‘difficult’ 2nd Las Vegas Basement album.

By early 2007 they finally had the songs written, and more importantly, had the time and opportunity to go into their own studio to record.

The results of these sessions have brought the band a new sound and a newly revived excitement about what lies ahead. “Do This for U” is the first single from the LP, and has the clear signs of a band very serious indeed about their craft, and their future……
