Episode One: In the Beginning Last Chance Lane Change came into creation late in August of 2007. Starting out as an idea among friends, it wasn't long before the band decided that the chemistry between them was something rare. Writing a handful of songs and perfecting them within only a matter of a few weeks, the boys decided to give everything they had to the band. Drawing from their love of music and their previous rock experience, these boys tend to give people a lot more than expected!!.Oh, and it doesn't hurt that they decided to form the band while playing "Guitar Hero II" late one nite. Paul and Jesse had been friends for years and had talked often about starting a rock and/or roll band. The two and were amazed by Bo's ability to shred the guitar on the very intense video game, and they certain that he would be a kickin' bass player!! .okay, that's not exactly what happened, but we do play a load of "Guitar Hero" when we're not really playing our REAL instruments.Episode Two: Making A Name For ThemselvesThe three-piece rock and roll act started booking shows around their areas. Wowing crowds with their "big sound from a small town", the three members decided that it was time to start getting serious. They had started making plans to write and record their debut. Changing writing/demoing locations from a basement, to an attic, to an old abandoned building that had formerly been used for the local "spook alley" during the days leading up to Halloween, the boys made the best of that cold, dark winter, and thus their debut album "Some Breathing Tree" was written.Episode Three: ".Some Breathing Tree" and "Dancehall Ghosts" Paul, Bo, and Jesse decided that it was time to record their debut album. They had already built up a substantial fan following from playing shows and peddling their poorly recorded demos to whoever would listen. It was obvious that it was the right time to get to a studio. Making several phone calls and shopping around a little bit, the band decided that they would record at Studio 14, a little home studio located in Brigham City, Utah. Manning the controls and producing the tunes would be Producer Rich Bischoff. Laying down track after track after track, the band spent twelve consecutive hours recording their eleven song full-length debut album ".Some Breathing Tree".

They had tasted the flavor of proffessionalism, and immediately LCLC craved more. Upon arriving back home, they immediately started writing an EP follow up to ".Some Breathing Tree".

When the boys had written the songs for their debut, they had been in a different place. The feelings of newness and excitement at being a part of something special had made the songs upbeat and happy. It had been Summer and Fall when the lyrics had been written, and the sunshine and the weather had definitely had an effect on the mood and tone. It was now the dead of a Bear Lake winter, and the darkness and the cold were taking hold of the boys, especially chief lyric-writer, Paul Christainsen.

".I was in a really dark place when i started writing the lyrics for the EP," said Christiansen. "I wasn't sleeping at nite. I wasn't eating. I had problems with panic attacks and anxiety, and it really started to show through in the lyrics. I think the song that really shows what my state of mind I was in at the time of the writing is 'Finality'. It deals with darkness, losing someone, and being haunted by their memories that just won't let you go.".

"Finality" ended up not just being the song that set the mood for the entire EP, but it also ended up being the song where the album title, "The Dancehall Ghosts EP", came from. The first line of the song, "Dancehall ghosts, pressed tight to the ceiling, haunting me and making my nites so cold.", just stated the mood that they had been looking for.

".We really felt like we wanted the two albums to feel like the original star wars movies. like 'A New Hope' goes straight into 'The Empire Strikes Back', that's how we wanted '.Some Breathing Tree' and 'The Dancehall Ghosts EP' to be," said Christiansen.

The guys called their friend and producer Rich Bischoff and scheduled a day back in Studio 14. The day came, a cold day in February, when the band headed south once again to Utah to record their six song EP. They wanted to give their fans a little something extra on this album, and they had decided to record a cover of Billy Joel's "And So It Goes", a song about losing someone and having to come to terms. Joel had written it for his wife after she left him for another man. The song just seemed to fit, and had special meaning to Paul especially.

After two days in the studio, the EP was done. the boys would play shows promoting the EP and giving away free copies to their fans. Months went by

.

Episode Four: Drawing A Crowd.

After three months of playing shows to promote their first two discs, and even longer spent without writing any new material, Paul, Bo, and Jesse decided that they needed to get back into the scene, and to do this, they were going to need something else.

Enter Braxton Fitzgerald, a longtime friend and fan of LCLC. The boys recruited him to play guitar, adding one more level to the band's live sound, and one more brain to the writing process

Last Chance Lane Change is currently writing and demoing songs for their third album, "Draw A Crowd". The first song from the new record has recieved great response when played live for a crowd.

"The new song is called 'One To 17', and i really think that it showcases how we've grown as a band. We haven't been doing this for very long, but in the year we've been playing music together we've really grown closely as a band and as writers. 'One to 17' is really showing us off as a mature band musically, even though we're still young."
