DESCRIPTION:
Jordan and I were outside the studio late one night and just caught the tempo of this song in our bones. We shook into the control room and tracked the rhythm section. Everything else followed like clockwork. By 10 am the next morning the song was complete and mixed. It's a simple hooky tune, but I think the energy is where all the spirit of the song comes through. The line "eyes wide in the kiss of doubt" is about how one person revealing their doubt in a relationship can create a vortex that sucks all the good feelings away. Relationships are crass and people are sensitive and having songs to sing about it makes it easier to be single.
