Blazing onto the music scene is the Houston-based trio, Lady Lux! Meet Brittny, Amaris and Dot - fueled by passion, true talent and an innate responsibility to share their gifts with the world, these ladies bring an energy and sound in which the music industry has been longing. Brittny hails from Houston, TX and takes charge vocally as the group's lead singer. She is also phenomenal in writing, vocal producing and arranging. Being heavily involved singing in choirs, dancing, acting and athletics since she was eight, Brit has an adoration for entertainment and is a bona-fide powerhouse. By the time Brittny turned 16, she had a major deal with a former girl group and though they were short lived, Brittny didn't allow that to dissolve her dreams. After heading to college majoring in broadcast journalism, Brittny kept busy pursuing her singing career and joined several dance teams including the Houston Rockets Power Dancers, not knowing that her life would soon change upon meeting her group members. Her voice is strong and is versatility at it's best. She sings with an incomparable soul and definitely brings a competitive edge to today's music industry.
Dot is the groups rapper, possessing an unparalleled drive for the arts. Born in Ft. Worth, TX she has been entertaining since she was 10 years old. While in high school, Dot was active in cheerleading, dancing, head drum major, and was also crowned in several beauty pageants. When she attended college, she too joined dance teams and was even a background dancer for artists Frankie J and LeToya Luckett. She also was a Houston Rockets Power Dancer. Her style behind the mic is high energy and fun, coupled with sexiness and a crucial swag. Off the mic, Dot also assists in styling the girls wardrobe as well as choreographing and coordinating Lady Lux's stage shows. Wearing multiple hats, Dot is the pillar that carries the creative weight that makes Lady Lux stand out as a group."We don't take our job lightly. We know we have to do whatever it takes and love this more than anyone else," says Dot.
Amaris functions as second lead and is the creative balance in the group, always instrumental in bouncing off ideas for writing, styling, and choreography. Her sweet soprano voice is unique and complements her sophisticated style and personality. Growing up in Dallas, Amaris jumped in the entertaining arena at 12 years old. She competed and won several pageants, was a cheerleader, and even went into track and field. She's been a professional model for 6 years and actress for 1 year with Page Parkes Modeling & Talent Agency, modeling for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Nordstrom's and Neiman Marcus, to name a few. While Amaris pursued her broadcast journalism degree, she also danced for the Houston Comets and later the Houston Rockets Power Dancers. Fate would soon strike when Amaris who was already friends and team members with Dot, met then Rockets Power Dancer Brittny and they soon recognized that same desire to seriously pursue their music careers. They decided to try taking things to the next level with each other and since their worlds have collided, Lady Lux has been a strong force for 4 years.
All coming from an entertaining background, the ladies embrace an intense work ethic required to succeed in this business. But the road hasn't been easy. They each have experienced the ups and downs of chasing their dreams. "Each of us can relate to failure," says Dot. In fact, that is what makes our music so real," she adds. "We want to deal with real issues that will help real people," says Brittny, "and that is why we make 'real talk' music." "We've all failed at relationships at least once but refused to stop loving because of that fact," says Amaris, "and we've all failed at one job or another, but have never stop believing we could have any job we wanted," she adds. The fact that everyone can hold their own weight and play their role so well makes it that much easier to get their goals accomplished. The ladies pride themselves on being a self sufficient group and this understanding is one of the things that bonds the ladies together as three talented, strong, business-minded women looking to leave a lasting mark on the music industry.
