LABOR PARTY - I Bleed - Steel Cage Records

Labor Party is Phoenix, AZs foremost dirty punk and roll band and has been at the top of the citys scene since 2002. Labor Party combines the high energy of trashy garage flavored punk with edgy 70s guitar riffs and a genuine stripped down rock and roll soul. Labor Party enthusiastically offers up a mix of catchy, sincere and eloquent lyrics soulfully delivered in the midst of what can best be described as purely riff-o-licious guitar mastery, hard driving bass lines that also know how to take a walk and a hard rocking back beat that keeps fans rolling right along with the band. One listen and its obvious why their passion for music crosses many genres with seamless ease.
Frank Labor is the bands lead guitarist, his style, ability and raw energy is unmacthed, he is also the soulful lead vocalist and main songwriter. In addition to his work with Labor Party he also plays guitar with the Jeff Dahl Band.
Sharon Labor, aka Zooka, keeps the party going with driving bass lines and a mother load of energy in her live performance. Shes all over the place and having a lot of fun at it. She also sings back up and delivers some spoken word on occasion. Sharon also co writes some of the bands material.
Buck Ellis rocks the kit hard and heavy and with a lot of heart. Buck has played a big role in the Phoenix punk scene, playing in band such as "Boneyard", "Sam the Butcher", "The Shifters" and Balls. Brian Smith of the New Times says: "Buck is a spirited skinner regarded by many as one of the best time-keeps in the city". He also sings back up and puts on live performances that are supercharged and full or fire.
Labor Party has played hundreds of shows at numerous venues all over the country. Labor Party is known for their off the hook live shows and good times. So much so that they have a reputation for it and their fans consistently invite friends to experience the fun and energy of a Labor Party show. They have 4 full length CDs out, "Have Some" 2002, "Graffiti and Glass" 2004, both on Beat Bum Records and "I Bleed" 2006 and "Hellhound Down" 2008 both on Stell Cage Records.
