Kristy Scott has soul, passion and a realness that reaches the heart. The sultry, sweet voice that comes from this classic beauty is undeniably the “real thing”. Kristy Scott, who attributes being influenced by R&B and gospel artists like Brandy, Jesse Powell, J Moss and Karen Clark Sheard, blends her gospel roots with her love of Hip Hop and R&B to create a flavor all her own. “It’s so important for me to stay true to myself and my style. I have something new and unique to offer,” says Scott.



Kristy’s career catapulted in 2005 when she signed with L.A./U.K. based production company Black Smoke Entertainment, spearheaded by acclaimed producer AC Burrell, who is most noted for his collaborations with such artists as JoJo, Nelly Furtado and Kelis. As Kristy and AC’s musical collaboration sparked a buzz in the industry, it caught the attention of R&B hit-maker and top vocalist, Jesse Powell. This Gold-selling artist teamed up with Kristy on many of her records as writer, vocal arranger and musical role model. “He is one of the most incredibly talented people I have ever met. He brings things out of me vocally I never knew I had,” says Scott.



It wasn’t long before the oh-so talented Trina and Tamara Powell joined in on the project. Trina and Tamara, who have written, arranged and performed back up vocals for artist like Lauren Hill, Kanye West, Fantasia, and Ne-Yo, eagerly collaborated both on pen and vocally for many of Kristy’s infectious tracks.



Many other writers and producers have joined the Kristy Project: Fred Jerkins (Beyonce, Mariah Carey) Kenisha Pratt (Brandy, TLC, Toni Braxton), “Q” (Christina Aguilera), Tron and Flow (Mario), China Royal (Britney Spears, Brandy), and the list goes on. These talented professionals have given of themselves because they see such a big future and an even bigger talent in Kristy Scott.



Kristy Scott has just begun. More and more people are noticing and want to be a part of The Kristy Scott Project. There are many big things in the works for this talented beauty, and doors continue to open as she relentlessly pursues her passion for music and the debut of her album.
