Kristoffer Asknes can, despite his young age, already be described as a very experienced musician. Even before the age of ten years he had appeared on SVT (Swedish TV) infront of 3 million people, toured all around Sweden and won "Søndagschansen (Eurovision-junior). Then his voice changed during puberty and his band Cadillac Boys threw in the towel.

In 1997, however, his interest in music awakened to life once again. The band Kazoo released an EP with four songs and he started his study of music in Motala. An offer from Copenhagen showed up quickly, Kristoffer skipped school and became a full time artist. Every day for months he appeared, flanked by a musical collective and new friends. The many lessons and insight in learning music this way, a traditional school could not match.

In 2000, the journey went on to Norway. Contacts he had linked up through his already eventful career led Christopher to the band Duluth with his brother on drums (plays in Navigators today). After being picked up by a record label from Texas, the band toured in the U.S., England, Germany, Greece, Sweden and Norway.

Back in Oslo he started the band Keef with Kyrre Sætran (Morten Harket, Paal Flaaten etc.) and Trond Augland. Later he became the bassist of Jocelyn, but a growing desire to pursue a solo career was burning in him. As a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and singer he wanted to focus on his own material, the reaction was not long in coming.

After tips Nordic Records attented Kristoffer Asknes concert at the Oslo Music Festival this year. His striking presence on stage, strong songs and voice impressed. Cooperation is about to manifest in his solo debut; the album "How Could We Know" is released September 20th on Nordic Records.
