Spirited Canadian solo artist, Krista Hartman's songs are epic films for the soul. Her music breaks in on listeners like Prairie elixirs---steeped in dirt, skies, and moons of those perennial scenes of love and loss that bind us all together. Miss Hartman is on the brink of releasing her second full-length record, 'Nostalgia.' Produced by Don Kerr, Toronto's favourite producer (Eye Weekly's November 2007), it features a compelling duet 'Broken in Two' with Ron Sexsmith along with her third LP, 'Midnight' produced by several Canadian stars across Canada- a mosaic of intimate songs recorded after midnight across Canada.

Hartman has appeared live on CBC television, performed a melancholic version of The Canadian National Anthem in front of Canada's Prime Minister, Stephen Harper and India's Ex-President, Dr. Abdul Kalam (where she was photographed and featured in The Globe and Mail), and she has played several live shows with Toronto's most acclaimed artists.

"Krista Hartman has captured the sound of the whole world in her music. That's due in part to her vast experience with travel and in part to her old-soul world view"-FFWD, Calgary***
"There is absolutely no doubt that Krista Hartmans work needs to be discovered by someone in the majors, pronto. Her sandy voice carried so much emotion and energy at The Bluechair Cafe, it sent electric, tingling shivers up ones spine. The vocalists songs were majestic in a stripped-down way that took a step back from her record (the excellent Passport), revealing an artist deeply in command of her thoughts and emotions"-SEE Magazine, Edmonton.***
"Hartman, a "dirty folk" singer/songwriter from Canada, is on the road with with a gentle voice that draws listeners in, she sings of infidelity, road trips, an overbearing father and the simple beauty of nature"- San Antonio Express.***
"Krista’s story telling style is classic in the sense of 60’s folk and folk rock tunes. She is able to touch that era and yet twist and turn the songs into a friendly modern feel while illuminating her life experiences. Those picturesque lyrics are the brush strokes that the listener follows to see the picture painted before their ears. Recommended if you like: Lee Hazlewood, Nancy Sinatra, Dar Williams, Cat Power"- Tiny Elvis Reviews.
