About Kraken Recordings:

Formed in 2006, Kraken Recordings is the first Danish label specialising in Dubstep, Grime, and progressive sounds beyond. Based in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark, Kraken Recordings is operated by OHOI! – an award winning crew of four producers, DJs and event organizers. Kraken Recordings is primarily focused on Danish artists, however international artists will also be featured on the label. Kraken promos are already being played heavily on both UK, European, and International radios, including Rinse FM, BBC, Sub FM, Breaks FM, and the Danish Broadcast – as well as receiving support from major DJs across the globe.



Kraken Recordings mission:

Kraken Recordings will provide a solid opportunity for Danish and International artists to attain worldwide exposure, while introducing Denmark as a significant music factor in the global Dubstep and Grime communities.



The Kraken:

The Kraken is a legendary sea monster of gargantuan size, for centuries said to have been seen off the coasts of Scandinavia,

pulling vessels and seamen to a cold and dark grave. The extreme size and fearsome appearance attributed to the beast have made the Kraken the most feared creature of the sea. Kraken derives from the old Scandinavian word “krake”; designating an unhealthy animal, or something twisted.
