Kosma Ranuer (Baritone)

Kosma Ranuer was educated at
Operastudio 67 and
the University College of Opera in Stockholm, Sweden.
As a student he sang Ceprano in ”Rigoletto”
at the Royal Opera in Stockholm.
He also sang roles such as Michele in ”Il Tabarro”,
Nick Shadow in ”Rakes Progress”,
Renato in ”Ballo in Maschera” and the title role in
”Rigoletto” during his years of studies.



Kosma was one of the finalists in Belvedere Vocal Competition in Vienna 2007.



Kosma made his professional debut as Monterone in ”Rigoletto” at Malmö Opera in 2004. He stayed there the following season singing roles in ”Turandot”, ”Faust” and ”Life with an Idiot” by Schnittke.



The following season he sang Masetto in ”Don Giovanni”
at Värmlandsoperan and ”the Innkeeper” and
”Captain of the Navy” at the Royal Opera in Stockholm.



He also been singing the title role in ”Mefistofele” by Boito with Södertäljeoperan in Stockholm.
Oxenstierna in ”Cristina di Svezia” by Foroni
for Vadstena Academy,
which was broadcasted on radio in Sweden and Europe.



In the fall 2007 Kosma worked with
Södertäljeoperan jet another time,
singing Barnaba in ”La Giocconda”.



In 2008 he sang the part of Björn Olsson in
”the Poet and the Prophetess” by Mats Larsson-Gothe
at Norrlandsoperan.
And in the summer at Confidencen he sang Oxenstierna
in ”Cristina di Svezia” by Foroni.



He had a great success singing Schaunard in
”La Bohemé” at Göteborgsoperan.



2009 he sang the role of Pizzarro in ”Fidelio” in Stockholm and Örebro Concert Hall
with Swedish Chamber Orchestra.



Later hi sang the title role in ”Nabucco”
with Södertäljeoperan,
which was a big success, with lots of amazing reviews rewarding him for an brilliant interpretation of Nabucco.



In april he sang Paulo in ”Simone Boccanegra”
at Frankfurt Opera 2010.



During the summer Kosma is singing Michele in
”Il Tabarro” and a new role for him; the title role in
”Gianni Schicchi” at the Latvian National Opera of Riga.
Mefistofeles in ”Faust” at Folkoperan in Stockholm will top of Kosmas 2010.
For 2011 hes contracted for the role Jago in ”Otello” at Norrlansoperan in Sweden.
