Hailing straight out of Birmingham (BrumTown) K.M.D is a Producer, Songwriter, Artist, DJ, Facilitator, Video Producer/Editor and Entrepreneur, who oozes creativity and is a highly skilled, versatile individual who commands acknowledgement and admiration. K.M.D is the brainchild and C.E.O behind the independent label Seriously Hectic Records that was set up in 2002.

For those who don’t know KMD he is a very determined and business minded individual who takes pride in his work.

K’s musical career started at a tender age of 8, on his dad’s Reggae sound system. Amazed at the sound of his voice coming through the speakers, K.M.D began his music destiny.

Growing up on the soulful sounds of his mothers Motown records and the passionate messages he got from his fathers Roots/Reggae collection, K.M.D will tell you “melodies and emotion are the key elements that need to be present to make good music”. Living by this principal he has been creating a buzz in the industry & in the streets with his high quality, unique production and authentic, heartfelt lyrics that you can visualize as well as feel.

Making waves overseas he has worked with a variety of international artist’s such as Styles P (D-Block), Wynta Storm (from the Bronx, New York), Lappaleng from Jamaica (former artist on ‘Shocking Vibes’, Beenie Man’s former label) and he came 2nd out of 70 contestants (worldwide) at the Activision ‘True Crime’ game soundtrack competition, in Midem (Cannes, France) 2006.
