Kottonmouth Kings Frontman D-Loc Releases DJ Alter Ego Side Project Shakey Bonez “Dog Treats Featuring George”

Shakey Bonez is the DJ alter ego of Kottonmouth Kings/Kingspade frontman D-Loc. Showcasing his impressive skills scratching on the turntables, Shakey Bonez allows D-Loc to roam into uncharted territories by revealing and his thirst for ambient side. Shakey new studio album entitled, “Dog Treats Featuring George”, features guest appearances from Pakelika on “It’s Working” and Sub Noize alumni Judge D on the track “South Park”.

“Shakey Bonez is just another side to who D-Loc is,” says the frontman. “I’ve been scratching for about 10 years now, ever since Bobby B introduced me to it and this album this shows the progression of my scratching skills over the years. The album title is just a nod to my fans and homies; we’re giving them some dog treats.”

Shakey Bones “Dog Treats Featuring George” album will be packaged along with the first ever live album from Kingspade, the dynamic duo consisting of Johnny Richter and D-Loc from counter-culture icons the Kottonmouth Kings. The group’s first ever live album entitled “Throw Your Spades Up” will be released on March 10th, 2009 and includes both a CD and DVD version of Kingspade’s now legendary performance at Hollywood's legendary Key Club, where the group performed tracks from their self-titled debut and sophomore effort, “P.T.B”.

Since his debut with counter-culture icons the Kottonmouth Kings in 1994, D-Loc has soared to the heights of success by selling over 2 million albums and over a million in concerts tickets from over 1,500 live performances in the group’s decade plus existence. The Kottonmouth Kings has infiltrated the mainstream on their own terms and each of the group’s albums has hit the Billboard Charts Top 200, even debuting as high as 39 on the charts. Their accomplishments are even more impressive given the fact that they have remained completely independent from the mainstream, without the aid of a major label.
