Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, KI has forged a new sound from the remains of several, now dispersed, Albuquerque Local bands. Bassist John, Drummer Orio, Guitarists Troy and J, and vocalist Ashlee have forced their tight-knit, sonic presence into the ears and minds of music lovers in the Southwest.

"We're determind to influence popular music." says drummer Orio, "We've been paying our dues left and right. From playing in front of 10 people to playing in front of 1000's, not one show has been a let down or a dissappointment. Even at the shows that had ten people or less, we always manage to make at least one new fan or friend. That alone makes it worth it."

Thanks to the backing of Albuquerque's own alternative station, 104.7 the Edge, Ki has achieved some minor rotation. Ki's first single, "Day Of A Superhero" begins with an upbeat blast of sonic energy and segues into a verse with Cure-esque guitars and a progressive bass undertone back with a kinetic and moving drumbeat. Ashlees vocals soar over this dynamic whirlwind as she presents some of her more political based lyrics.

To date, this "hardcore-pop-indie" group has shared the stage with such renowned national acts as Mudvayne, Static X, Trapt, Powerman 5000, Socialburn, Fingertight, V Shape Mind, The Romantiks, The Phunk Junkeez, Tim Reynolds, Kittie, Otep and most recently, a SOLD OUT show at the Launchpad with up and comers, FLYLEAF.

The band is currently planning to continue touring the southwest and record their first full-length album with Producer Marc Jordan (Oh No Not Stereo, Rubikon, Milla Jovovich) The band recorded with Jordan early in 2005 and released a three song demo. Ki is hoping to grab the attention of a record label able to further their personal revolution- a revolution whose single goal is to infuse popular music with thought, emotion, and, above all, honesty.

"Ki has a great sound and they're definitely a band worth seeing live if you haven't yet already!" ReverbRadio.com.

"Each of the four songs on Unsigned Loveletters is ready for the drive time home" - Kevin Hopper, Albuquerque Journal.

"Shes using her pipes like the flat of a knife blade along the body, with the occasional change in angle and *SLICE* -- you dont feel it immediately, and then youre unconscious from the lack of blood."
