Peter Saville:

“ Kev Fox is an extremely stylish and talented young man who deserves all the success that is most definitely coming his way”

Clash Magazine

'' Usually I’m not over keen on acoustic acts but Kev Fox is a raw, emotive performer who has some killer tunes. With the strength of somebody like Damien Rice, playing over loops, delay and reverb, Kev’s act is immensely powerful and soulful putting references of The Verve and early U2 in mind. Haunting and brilliant, I truly can’t recommend him enough’’

Manchester Evening News

KEV FOX, fresh from several Channel M appearances provides a masterclass in looped acoustica, his voice dancing on echoes, wrapped around melodies that are forcefully present as well as at risk of flying off into the heavens. Kev Fox has something rather special to offer and somehow with that voice and his box of tricks he helps provide one of the biggest sounds of the evening.

When Things Explode.com

"Kev Fox is a talented singer songwriter who layers gorgeous melodies and acoustic guitar over loops, samples and preprogrammed beats. Reminiscent of Pink Floyd and Nick Drake we thoroughly recommend him."

Manchester Music

“His melancholy songs of longing repeatedly surprised me. Looping various thumps and acoustic tinkles with technology that is probably all very simple when you know how, Fox is the perfect weekend comedown tonic, twinges of Portishead in the more brooding of his beats had people sitting up in their seats and wondering just how he pulled that sound off, exactly?”

ITC Review City Life

"A CRAMPED In The City showcase at The Green Room feels far too small for singer-songwriter Kev Fox's soaring voice. Melodies haunt his mournful songs of loss and longing, written when the break up of his last band coincided with a break up with his girlfriend. Whether or not the romantic split was a good idea, the musical one appears to have set him free, and it's hard to imagine someone with such a powerful voice and lyrical ability needing to be part of a band. The 26-year-old Middlesborough native, who has lived in Manchester for eight years, has been going solo for about 18 months and, midway through a UK tour, his new found liberty is paying off. Songs including 'To the Circle', 'Mind the Bright Lights' and 'Talk of the Town' bring a northern charm to heartfelt lyrics and gentle melodies. An acoustic guitar, accompanied only by a double bass and minimal drums allows Fox's voice to dip and soar with an ability that belies his unassuming stage presence. Outwardly, Fox bears more than a passing resemblance to fellow Manc balladeer Liam Frost, but the powerful vocals are much more redolent of Elbow front man Guy Garvey. It's a comparison Fox is happy to accept, alongside musical influences including Nick Cave and Cherry Ghost, and it's easy to imagine him playing to a much bigger crowd as his profile rises, allowing his voice the space it deserves."

Guestlist Magazine

"On his own Kev Fox is special, combined with drums and double bass as he is tonight he is someone that you want to shout from the rooftops about. His loops and guitar mix with the backing to create something pretty powerful indeed. The songs are sensitive and soulful and Fox's soaring vocals lend them a sense of beauty that is rarely seen anymore."
