KST's New Onda

My name is Kevin Stever and I love to play and record music. I love all music, even bad music. I play with lots of different people, mostly in Jazz, Hip-Hop and Classical but I'll play anything really. My main instrument is the Upright Bass You can hear me with Sam Rivers on his space. I play on "Unity" and "Sirocco" and also on the Eastside Combo space (see my friends) but I'm really diggin the cello because it's easier to carry. I also love to play piano. After that, I like to play whatever instrument I can get my hands on. I got a house full of stuff. Lately, I am focusing on orchestral composing. I also write for a 12pc group that mixes alot of stuff together and the jazz quartet "Eastside Combo". In my spare time, I record on my home PC. The songs posted here are some results of that music. I play all the parts, I don't use sequences except for the basic drum tracks. Drums are loops with some live percussion dubs. The bass and cello are there but either distorted or buired. As you can tell, I don't fix mistakes. I've been blessed with the opportunity to play or record with some greats including Sam Rivers, Bo Diddley, The Platters, Jesse Stone, Noble "Thin Man" Watts, Giovanni Hidalgo and others.
