The Ken Oak Band, described by Billboard Magazine as "soulful" and "calming", are an acoustic duo comprised of Ed Gorski and Ken Oak. Commonly billed as a 'cello rock' act, they consistently captivate audiences with their unique combination of cello and acoustic guitar providing a minimalist backdrop for deceptively sincere songwriting. They have been included on the soundtrack to major motion picture She's The Man, completed five national tours and produced two albums under their own label, Cello Rock Records. With Ed's luscious strumming on rhythm guitar working in harmony with the deep, stirring chords Ken pulls from the cello, their sound communicates directly to the heart of the audience.

"Using the cello as a bass and lead instrument, Ken Oak Band is nothing shy of an acoustic dreamscape. The two members in the band layer their vocals surprisingly smoothly on their second album with rhythm guitar and dark cello beats. This album is basically everything you'd expect from a cross country acoustic tour. It's hearty and brooding, and it squeezes the heartstrings. The album starts off with two listen-up tracks, and equalizes itself as a pleasantly steady acoustic set. (Reminds me of a fresh Rocky Votolato or Iron and Wine) They actually stop by Rice and play gorgeous sets behind the RMC when they're in town. Playlist, and support."
