Kazum is an instrumental trio born in the April of 2003 in occasion of an improvised acoustic concert.

This musical plan starts from various experiences that succeed to melt themselves in rising of “ipnotical soundtrack” that spaces between rumorism, jazz, ethnic and the avantgarde rock. The continuous evolution brings them to join acoustic , electrical and digital sounds.

“Kazum is a parallel plan that defers from nearly the totality of the existing musical intentions [.] objects that become instruments [.] adaptable sounds to you and, regularly distorted melodies, unreal instruments that play” (www.rockit.it).

They receive compliments for the composition from master Ennio Morricone and collaborate from 2006 with artists of video also for live sets. In May 2006 they took part to the compilation "Napoli Sound System vol.2" with artists like Zulù, Almamegretta and 24 Grana, where they participate with the song “Pozzock, Nou Nou & the little bridge”.

2006 is also the year of “the Cut-Ups”, a videoacustic performance for a dramatization of the documents of cinematographic production of the avanguard of the '900 organized from Kazum feat. rA (the videoartist Angelo Rossi).

As the title suggests, the reflection becomes part in the wake of the inheritance of William S. Burroughs, stylistically, adopting the technique of the semantic outbreak and the novelistic way, that is the cut-up tested for fist in the novel "Naked Lunch"; and also poetically, by the selection of video documents that was part of the theoretical inheritance of Burroughs. The musical sections and video of the performance inspire to poetical line purposely chosen, that is the “indistinct flow”.

In the July of the same year they make a soundtrack for the mute film “Entr'Acte” (René Clair, France 1924).

In January 2007 comes out the documentary “I have a Green” who introduces as soundtrack some Kazum's songs taken from the disc “Muzak”.
