Growing up listening to so many styles of music, including R&B, country and rock, it's no surprise that Kassie Miller combines her pop-country style with a little blues and soul. Kassie's raspy voice, reminiscent of Tanya Tucker, combined with her lively southern-country personality on stage create an artist that will infect your soul, leaving you wanting more. Inspired by such artists as George Strait and Garth Brooks, she not only will please the ears, she will dazzle you with her sweetness and stun you with her passion.

Kassie Miller was born in Cullman, Alabama and was raised in the small town of Somerville, Alabama. After high school, she attended Judson College in Marion, Alabama, where she studied music ministry and was greatly involved in cheerleading. While in the Judson music program she was inspired by one of her music professors to really pursue her singing. She took this to heart began to think about a career in country music.

Kassie's dad had instilled the love of music in her since she was very young, and both Kassie's parents, Marshall and Deborah, were very supportive of Kassie's dreams of singing. Soon, they were making trips to Nashville to get a taste of the country music scene. While in Nashville, Kassie was introduced to an independent record label who wanted to work with her. This would be the first time Kassie had been in the studio and ever recorded her vocals. This union with the label led to the opportunity to sing for The Spirit of America music festival (2001) in Alabama, where she opened up for Exile and Razzy Bailey.

However, a few months after the festival, Kassie's dad became very sick. Kassie decided not to go back to Judson College that year, she stayed with her dad and worked two jobs. Sadly, within 3 months, her dad died from a brain aneurysm. It was very unexpected and terrifying for the whole family. Kassie stuck by her mother's side after that and just attempted to recover from the tragedy. When a year had passed, her mother encouraged her to follow her dreams, and Kassie decided to move to Nashville in 2002.

While in Nashville, Kassie started a regular singing gig downtown while trying to figure out how to further her singing career. She branched out into acting and modeling and soon was cast on the first season of "The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search". Over the course of the 4 weeks of the show, Kassie sang, danced, and bartended her way to becoming the winner. This not only provided great exposure for her, but it also opened many doors for her to meet people in the music industry. One of those unions led to the opportunity to sing at A Cause for Paws charity event in 2006, opening up for Lorrie Morgan. The event was held in Dixon, TN. Another of the unions led to an opportunity to sign with an independent record label in Nashville. But, after talks and business issues with the label, Kassie decided not sign with them. "The label wanted me to be something different than I was, they wanted me to sing songs I didn't want to sing and change me," she says of the whole ordeal.

So today, after countless fans have asked when they will be able to buy her music, or if she has been writing any new material, Kassie Miller is doing it. She has bypassed the record companies and is funding the album completely herself and using all her own songs and songwriters. "It feels good not to have someone tell me what to do. I can write what I want to write about, sing what I want to sing about, and do it how I want to do it." The album will feature songs that range from the guitar-driven pop of "Drive You Out of my Mind" to the sexy soulful moods of "Love Away the Night". The time has come for her fans to hear the new material she has been working on, and listen to who Kassie Miller really is. Look for Kassie's self-titled debut album in the near future.
