Karmine Alers

Born and raised in Spanish Harlem, Karmine has been performing since the age of 13, which later led her to study voice at the high school of music and art. At 17 she joined a vocal group which took her on the road immediately performing all over the states. She then pursued her acting career and went on to appear in some independent films and shorts.



Karmine’s singing career then landed her record deal with the group 3rd Party on A&M Records. They recorded an album, filmed their video and traveled nationwide. They performed on TV shows such as Regis and Kathy Lee, Rupaul, Jenny Jones and The Today Show.



In January 2001 upon auditioning and touring with their national company, she was then was offered the leading role to star as Mimi in the Broadway rock musical RENT, which she is still a part of.



Karmine has been focusing on the launch of her debut solo album, which is a collection of written and outside songs she felt encompassed different stages of her life. This pop/rock collection has several hit contenders and is produced by Grammy nominated producer Jimmy Greco. (Santana / Jennifer Lopez / Celine Dion)



The album has a positive message and could be a source of inspiration for all. In addition to being a role model to many up and coming actors and singers, she is a true artist.
