DESCRIPTION:
These are sketches filmed in 2008 of a collaborative interdisciplinary work by Francis Wong working with Lenora Lee, A. K. Black, John Carlos Perea, Karl Evangelista and Karen Stackpole. Originally commissioned and premiered by Oakland Asian Cultural Center in October 2009, it will be presented next at CounterPULSE Theater in San Francisco April 23-24, 2010. The work commemorates the Third World Strike at UC Berkeley as well as delves into Wong's personal history. This work sample was shot and edited by film maker Lina Hoshino.
