The band KAOZ comes from a small industrial town of Velenje, which has approximately 40,000 inhabitants. The band consists of its charismatic singer Dejan Djordjevic - Djoko, guitarists Goran Jugovic - Zenf and Matjaz Zajc - Zajc, drummer Davorin Storgelj -Dado and a new member on bass Dragan Bagaric - Bagi

Dejan first came into contact with metal music in his early youth, when he and his brother often visited their cousin, a big Kiss fan. Even though he really liked sports, he had to finish his football career because of a knee injury. His rage and explosiveness brought him to the idea of forming a band.

Goran was growing up like every ordinary child in Velenje, playing basketball and riding his BMX, but when he first came into contact with alcohol, he traded sports for music. In his second year of secondary school he got a hold of some tablatures of Metallica and Slayer and it was then that he came to the idea of forming a band. In the third grade of secondary school he wanted to prove to his school friends that he has got what it takes to be in the metal music so he threw himself of a balcony onto some rocks (app. 2 metres high) to show them what stage diving looks like (with no broken bones).

Matjaz first came into contact with music when he was 3 years old because his mother worked in his grandparents restaurant. Each time he visited her he put some coins in the juke-box to listen to the music of Abba. When he met Dejan and Senad in his first grade of secondary school they started forming a band out of boredom.

Dado grew up in a musically oriented family. In his first grade of primary school he first came into contact with drums when his father took him to a practice of a local rock band. When he was ten he started dealing with music more seriously (he started attending a music school). He started playing in a symphonic orchestra and in a miners brass band. But when a new band in Velenje stated looking for a drummer Dado took that place.

In that period (2003) they recorded their first album, which they also self-published. They have toured all around Slovenia, Croatia and Austria and were also invited to some concerts in Serbia. Until 2005 they have already around 100 concerts held when they decided it was time to take some time off the stage and now, beware, there's a new album on the way. Kaoz is still around, stronger and harder than ever before. If you still haven't got your own copy of their album, there's a couple of them still available.

Kaoz is not just one of the many bands from Slovenia; they are a group of energetic men, who still create music despite all the obstacles in their lives.
