Kamikazi attributes his mother and her music as his intro into the music world. Her collection included everything from Sheila E, The Fat Boys, Rick James all the way to Prince. He became a sponge soaking up all that he could. After hearing the voice of Roger Troutman and the music of the king of pop Michael Jackson he knew music was his new life. At 11 years old he wrote his first rap. After listening to his favorite rappers of that time he learned how to format and arrange his songs. Now he just had to find something to write about. Little did he know his own life and child hood were all that he needed. After several name changes he was paging through his 11th grade history book and landed on the word Kamikaze. Finding his new name he started to ponder his life and the hard and dark times and realized that was his new material. This began his new writing style and the formation of Kamikazi the rapper. He left school his senior year to attend Studio 4. Thanks to his friend Lorenzo he recorded his first studio track in 2000, Fetti Motivated. The track was produced by Humble Child and Lorenzo. The positive feedback of the track gave him the motivation and courage to continue rapping. After years of writing and recording his own music, it was time for a change. Producers however kept passing him by. Then after being heard on MYSPACE he was in the Streetsound studios recording the track Keep It Real. 4 days later he signed his first contract with Streetsound Entertainment. His first live performance came on June 11th 2006 at the red sea. Since then he has performed with the likes of Yukmouth, Tech N9ne, Chamillionaire, Haystak, Obie Trice, Afroman, Rehab, and his good friends Grave Plott. His career has yet to peak but when it does you don’t want to be the only one who wasn’t there.
