After 10 000 km in the Death cab for cuties (our tourbus), in which we drove and slept in shifts, fearing for our lives with the ear inches from das Autobahn, we started to ask ourselves what the f***k we were doing…

We had just finished a successful tour as support to the legends in Blondie, with an amazing party at The Gore in London as an apertif, but the band was burnt out at both ends.

The album ”Resurrection” which was released in 2006, led us on a rollercoaster ride beyond all recognition. We were considered as ”dead meat” in Sweden but were all of a sudden signed to the worlds largest Indie label, Nettwerk. A tour in the U.S, videoshootings in L.A followed meanwhile the band was in a juridical process with our recent label back home. Parties with glamour models in Bel Air, nighttime excursions to Vegas and sold out shows became reality but our little outfit was not satisfied. We felt we coudnt do better.

The rest of 2007 passed by pretty calmly except for a few gigs in Germany. A new single was released in Sweden but nothing happened.

When we had started to mistrust the most our manager called and told us that we wer going to Japan to support swedish rockers Mando Diao. This was to be the turning point of our career. Fans stood outside the hotel screaming, stopping us in the street and sang along during the shows. We didnt get anything. We had never released a singel nor a record there. We had the greatest tour of our lives and for that we will always be grateful. The motivation for new materail was back and Jocke and Lotus started writing as soon as we got back.

In May 2008 we got a second call from our manager where he told us that Blondie wanted us as support for their European tour. How the hell that happened we will never know… Blondie, a band on every member in the outfits top 5 list. Totally unbelievable. From 20 persons in sleepy towns in Sweden with the local pizzeria as the only pleasuredome, to sold out clubs all over Europe. Absolutely amazing! We could of course only afford the cheapest van available and the members of Blondie laughed their upper lips off at first but one of them changed his mind and wanted to go with us. He thought our way of touring was more Rock and Roll…

After this hard but fun tour we got the mesage that we were left to our own devices again considering making the new record we soon are releasing, and thats by far the best thing ever happened to us.

During the fall of 2008 our little outfit put every sweatdrop, backlash and most of all all the fun we have experienced throughout the years into our forthcoming album Blank Expressions. The first single ”Misfortune Strikes Again” is out and was mixed by legend David Bascombe.

”You Cant keep a good band down”
