Austin singer/songwriter Kacy Crowley is back with her third independent release, Cave. Produced by Billy Harvey (Steve Poltz, Bob Schneider), Cave is an offbeat yet completely relatable collection of songs that feels more like a first record than a third. With guest spots from Kevin Lovejoy and The Tosca String Quartet, Cave mixes an indie spirit with hummable pop melodies.

".Cave, Kacy Crowley's fourth disc, while definitely dark, sounds more like a resounding triumph, a fresh beginning instead of a burning loss. the pixie-ish singer-songwriter also possesses the ability to deliver the deceptive, upbeat title track, which is just one of the reasons Cave is one of the most intriguing local releases of the year." (Jim Caliguiri, The Austin Chronicle May 2008)
"With an earnest voice that calls you from the first notes, Kacy Crowley captivates on Cave, her fourth release. She marries offbeat poems with simple, well-crafted tunes---and I swear there's an '80's vintage Casio keyboard on a few tracks---to produce a varied CD that everyone can relate to." (Ward Lowe, Austin Monthly Aug 2008)

Kacy had only been in Austin a short time when Atlantic Records released her first recording, Anchorless. With critical praise jammed in her back pocket from publications like Billboard, Time, USA today and Vanity Fair she toured the US and into Canada. Her songs were featured in the films Little Boy Blue, Anywhere But Here and Three to Tango, and found their way into various television programs. Kacy was also a guest at Miles Copeland's Castle, a prestigious songwriting retreat in France.
In 2003 Kacy released Moodswing, her first independent recording. Produced by Jon Dee Graham (Patti Smyth, Jon Doe, The Gourds) Moodswing is an Austin favorite and was named 9 best album by the Austin American-Statesman. It's first single Kind of Perfect picked up the 3 award for best song and was also named 9 song of the year In KGSR's top 107 songs of 2003.
Kacy's 2004 release, Tramps Like Us is an introspective and disarming collection of eleven acoustic songs. She continues to tour throughout the states and develop her fan base by playing such festivals as The Austin City Limits Music Festival and the Seljord Music Festival (Norway). You can hear her songs most recently on MTV's The Hills and A&E's Rollergirls.
"Cave" was released in 2008 to great reviews (see above for quotes).
In 2011 Kacy joined Liars & Saints, a band that features long-time friend Johnny Goudie and the fresh faced Jeremy Nail. Along with drummer Joe Humel and bass player Palli, the three frontmen (Kacy, Johnny and Jeremy) share songwriting and instrumental duties. It is a true rock and roll team effort.
You can expect a Liars & Saints EP out by summer 2011 Catch a live show near you soon.
