THE 411: Kevin Huntley (M.C. FUNK) started Beat Boxing and Free-styling Way Back in 83 with Danny Williams (M.C. Danny D.) when they were in school together at Westwood Middle School in Gainesville, Fl. Funk always wanted to make music but like many, he didn't have the chance. By age 16, MC Funk and MC Danny D. had written a few songs together and went out and preformed them.

After a strong year of shows and interviews we ended up with other opportunities. Funk always wanted to make music with a band and this was long before Limp, Rock and others who made it big. Funk and his brother-in-law Mr. Sean started making beats and writing songs in 1996-ish. Mr. Sean bought an ASR Sampler/Re-Sampler and we started putting it together. Funk met D.J. Debbie D. and did some drum and bass remixes with her. M.C. Funk started working on "Use Your Mind", Funks first album with her husband, Phatty P. who engineered and played guitar on the project. D.J. Debbie D. brought M.C. Funk to SkyLab Recording Studios where he met Gerry King (GK), the owner of the studio. M.C. Funk made the beats and wrote the hooks, Mr. Sean put down the bass, Phatty P. laid down the guitar, M.C. Danny D. and M.C. A.K. wrote their parts and GK and M.C. Funk tracked, produced and mastered "Use Your Mind". M.C. Funk wanted more so they got (E-String) on guitar and Dave Moore (Funky D.) on the drums. We played awhile before M.C. A.K. dropped out.

Funk picked up the phone and called James Petersen (M.C. Mac Daddy) and said I need you to fill AK's spot. But of course, Funk needed more so we added Michael Wall (Ziggity Zack) on the blacks and whites. M.C. Funk was incorporated with a full band and we put together FUNKSINC.'s next C.D. "Wake Up".

M.C. Funk with a full band is Funks Incorporated. E-String left and we added Eric Liebner (E-Flute) who plays everything, but mostly Flute and Sax. Now we are putting out our 3rd band album, 2011 "How Funky Do You Want it" and our band's 4th album "I Need Money" is on the way late 2011! M.C. Funk has also wrote and produced Beat Box Volume 1 and had a Remix Volume 1 made for the band. He also has a solo CD "You Best Be Ready" dropping Summer 2011 and Funk never quits so there is so much more to come.

Thanks for listening and coming to the shows. Much Love.
