JUAN CROUCIER was raised in Torrance, California and is formerly a bassist for the metal bands DOKKEN and RATT; he was also briefly in QUIET RIOT in 1981.

He played with DOKKEN for four years, toured Germany with the band several times and played in both RATT and DOKKEN at the same time for over a year. He also sang on DOKKEN's ‘BREAKING THE CHAINS’ and co-wrote two songs, but departed prior to the music video shoot.

Upon joining RATT full time, Croucier was credited for helping the band sell five consecutive platinum albums and wrote many of the band's biggest hits such as "LACK OF COMMUNICATION" and "YOU’RE IN LOVE". Croucier gained a reputation for his ability to compose deep-grooved yet tuneful bass lines and knack for bringing a pop-savvy sensibility to complement the playing of such guitarists as George Lynch, Randy Rhodes, Warren DeMartini, and Robbin Crosby.

Croucier went on to own and operate a recording studio called "THE CELLAR" in Los Angeles where he recorded, produced and engineered hundreds of records for various bands and solo artists. He also formed a new band, LIQUID SUNDAY, a project based on his soulful self-titled album.

He has now formed a new band called JUAN CROUCIER’S DIRTY RATS, performing lead vocals and on bass.
