Described as Charm City's "Soul Brother number 1" J.S.O.U.L was birthed from baltimore's deep rooted music scene. Somewhere chillin between the fusion of soul,hip-hop,r&b, and the unknown is where you'll find him. A product of the longest running open mic series in baltimore "ORGANIC SOUL TUESDAYS" where he perfected his craft on stage literally right in front of the crowds eyes he has become beloved in the city of baltimore as a steady source of good music with his relentless efforts. Singing song's of inspiration, pain,pleasure,life and of course love create's the eclectic, soulful, yet funkdefied sound that he present's to the world. Releasing his first 2 demo efforts in 2001 & 2002 paved the way for his first major indie release "URBAN RETROSPECTIVE" in 2004 on the BLACKOUT STUDIOS RECORD IMPRINT. Inside it's wall's lay a body of work saturated with the production of FERTILE GROUND frontman James Collins, Joel Mills, Top Secret, and Kwesi Dawes aka (PIXEL). Now with his second national / international release the "LOVE SOLDIER" Lp J.S.O.U.L has taken the whole r&b soul hip hop thing to another dimension, beyond the normal chord changes, rim shots, and rhodes piano sounds so many claim as soul music.THE LOVE SOLDIER LP continues to recieve great reviews nationally and internationally.The CityPaper compared the album to "The kind of music that Stevie Wonder was making from the years 1971 to 1976 & compares it to the work of Bob Dylans between 1964 & 1969"-Brett Mccabe.
