Johnny Rex and the Mr. Boys

Johnny Rex is a band from Västerås, Sweden, formed in 2006, altough the present band line-up has existed since 2008.
Over the years, they have played several shows across Sweden. The experience of Johnny Rex in a live setting had them reach the national finals in two of Sweden's biggest music contests.
Recently they decided it was time to record their first album and they did so in 2010. Most of the recording process took place during an intense week in the Swedish city Eskilstuna, where Johnny Rex recorded ten of their songs. These songs were recorded live, in order to capture as much of the live experience as possible.
The result is an album of both pure, medlodic and ambient rock songs with lyrics concerning subjects such as desperation, frustration, love, sadness, joy and despair.
This much anticipated self titled debut album (now available on iTunes) will be officially released in the following months.
