Junior Kigwa

Jr.Kigwa music is extraordinarily different and features a wide range of different musical styles like Roots Reggae, Acoustic, Afrobeat and RnB. He is blessed with a gift, his voice! It is a warm and melodic voice that he is able to modulate in various tone with empowering and conscious lyrics and a positive vision delivered with passion.



The rising reggae artist Jr.Kigwa was born on April 10th in Kigali/Rwanda. He grew up in and around music and started to sing at an very early age. He began at age of six as a member of the youths choir at the church where his family attended. At the tender age Jr.Kigwa was listening to different kind of music and loved to sing and interpret songs of most popular artists or simply entertain along with his school friends.Jr.Kigwa looks up to artists such as legendary Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Garnett Silk, Beres Hammond and Lucky Dube some of his most influencial artists.



In 1994 he cheated death many times during his attempts to escape the Genocide that took the lives of some family members and so many fellow Rwandans in the tragic events.One year later, he moved to Germany to continue his studies Jr.Kigwa never lost his love of singing, he started recording professionally and write his own lyrics. Later he found himself performing with some local and national artists,band and soundsystems.



Jr.Kigwa has worked with different artists and bands, and performed on diverse reggae shows and festival in countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and more.Jr.Kigwa is also featured on the ABASSI ALL STARS Showcase Album with three Songs Such As High Grade, Jah Before Us and Danger zone.
Jr.Kigwa is currently working on his debut album and also a forthcoming mixtape "Untold Stories" He wants to take his music to the next level and has no intentions of slowing down.
