Singer/songwriter Jordan White has been playing lyrically-oriented acoustic & electric rock songs throughout the United States for the past five years, as a solo act and with KineticBlu. He has received warm responses from audiences and played shows on 90.3 WXLV FM including the "Phil Stahl Radio Show" - he has performed as far west as Chicago and as far south as Florida, and has been featured in various media outlets such as TV and magazine (go to www.press.jordanwhitemusic.com to view some of them) - he was also part of a group of musicians scattered across the country who came together to play benefit shows to aid those in need, such as the victims of the December 2004 Tsunami in south-east Asia and those suffering from Leukemia and other illnesses. White's song "Baby's Breath" landed on the 2005 Bamboo Bird records release entitled "Care Package" with sales benefitting the victims and their families.
A few of White's musical influences include songwriters such as Jackson Browne, Van Morrison, Adam Duritz, Billy Corgan, and Stephan Jenkins.
In 2005 White was in the second round of American Idol, in November 2005 he placed 2nd amongst 4 finalists in the Lehigh Valley/WZZO acoustic singer/songwriter competition, (see www.lvmusicscene.org )
In 2006 White was performing at the annual River Fusion festival in Bethlehem, PA when he caught the ear of Media Five Entertainment president David Sestak. Sestak, who gets the nod for discovering other multi-platinum selling artists from Pennsylvania such as Live, Fuel, and Breaking Benjamin, soon offered White an exclusive booking/promotion contract.
In 2007-2008 he performed up and down the east-coast of the U.S. in popular cover bands such as Impostar and The Fuzzy Bunny Slippers and performed original material with the Lehigh Valley band, KineticBlu. (www.myspace.com/KineticBlu)
In December 2008, White and KineticBlu were nominated in four categories in the annual 2008 Lehigh Valley Music Awards. White picked up two nominations alone for his song "Walking Clean" including "Best Original Rock Song" and "Best Lyricist" while KineticBlu was nominated for "Best Entertaining Band" and "Best Original Band."
In March 2010 White's original song "September" was released nationally on iTunes, Napster, Amazon, MSN and nearly 20 other major online MP3 retailers through a special all-digital multi-artist compilation of the hottest artists on MySpace, released with a hot new production company partnered up with major label Sony Music/Red Distribution. In April 2010 White performed his original song "Crazy Girl" on WFMZ-Channel 69 News, (go here to watch the video: http://www.wfmz.com/music-monday/23122560/detail.html)
And as of July 2010, KineticBlu has returned from a nearly two-year hiatus, and was named the "Next Big Thing" by Alternative Addiction for the month of October 2010. White was again nominated for three of the annual 2010 Lehigh Valley Music Awards including "Best Songwriter" - "Best Lyricist" and "Best Band Website" and will be performing at the awards ceremony on December 5th, 2010 in Allentown, PA.
