John Michael RAMIREZ

JOHN MICHAEL RAMIREZ is a true performer with his unusual way of dealing with music. He started his career in New York City spinning and singing in the club scène. He collaborated with « Buckshot le Fonque » from Brandford Marsalis. He also worked with many musicians among them Steve Coleman, Me’ shell Ndegeocello, D Train and Rocco(rodamaal).

Today, as a producer, DJ, MC and singer John Michael Ramirez works with DAXMAN from the « Dax Riders ».

They give us the opportunity to see and hear them with a funky house set which mix the new « FRENCH TOUCH » and the deep voice of Ramirez.

He’s a modern day Julio Iglesias. He sings, dances and makes women dream (from their thirties to death). His life is a modern tale. Of humble birth, (his parents sold toffees in the Chicago neighborhood of Toulon) he will be touched by grace via a mutant mosquito on a beach in Cape d'Agde and specifically of "nature harbor". Here we shall present the very nature of JOHN MICHAEL RAMIREZ, his life stages, his hobbies and deepest desires.





We will first touch upon his childhood and the discovery of the world surrounding (especially women); his encounter with a mosquito, and his dazzling conquest of planet earth with one mission in mind: GIVE JOY AND PLEASURE FOR A BETTER WORLD.





His childhood: He grew up in the slums of Toulon, in the Chicago neighborhood, where he discovered life. As he rubs shoulders with madams and pimps, he develops an outstanding personality. Very young he will meet with many women and get acquainted with African American music. And from that point on, EARTH WIND AND FIRE, MARVIN GAYE, GEORGE BENSON, and JOHNNY GUITARE WATSON give rhythm to his life. When little John Michael turns eight, he starts smuggling records from the US through American marines living in the Toulon harbor.







THE MOSQUITO :

But some shaded areas overcast JMR’s life. His adult life starts when he joins the Cape d'Agde and the famous naturist camp where he plays music every night in a joyful club. Nothing unusual so far.





Until one afternoon he is bitten by a mosquito which had undergone experiments at the French atomic energy agency. And from this moment on, JMR’s life tumbled, and to our greatest pleasure, he will be changed forever. He is finally going to carry the good word and help people in disarray, sadness, trouble and difficulty.





HIS MISSION :

SPREAD JOY AND HAPPINNESS especially to women. His mission also consists in resolving intricate situations (important political issues, hunger, environmental protection). His magician friend tags along to help accomplish these missions.







HIS POWERS :

Since the mosquito bite, he is a MIKE HANMER, STEEVE AUSTIN AND SUPER JAIMMIE all in one. He has been endowed with a power of persuasion over our world’s leaders but also a power of seduction over women in general. The use of his powers may fail to come up to expectations when he only deals with himself and often plays on it tactlessly. To keep his powers, each year he must go on a pilgrimage to the Embiez (for 3 days) and pray over Paul Ricard’s grave.





HIS SONGS :

They highlight a joie de vivre and evoke his adventures with women. The latter are his true life drivers. He loves them all but never settles at all.
