Joe McGinty is a composer, keyboardist and arranger whose first professional experience was playing in the lounges of Atlantic City, Reno and Lake Tahoe with "Franco and Mary Jane"

He was a member of the Psychedelic Furs from 1987-1992, playing and contributing to the writing of their last two releases, "Book Of Days" and "World Outside".

He's also worked with Ryan Adams, Nada Surf, Kevin Ayers, Martha Wainwright, Devendra Banhart, Jesse Malin, Amy Rigby, Space Hog and many others.

In the 90s he led the orchestral pop ensemble Baby Steps. Baby Steps songs are now available on iTunes.

McGinty is the founder and music director of NYC's Loser's Lounge tribute series, which has consistently played to sold out rooms since its debut in 1993. myspace.com/loserslounge
