Born in Oxford, North Carolina, Killz would earn his alias through his competitiveness where he always “killed the competition.” While his high performance in sports would lead many to believe it to be his ultimate goal, his heart would deem otherwise.His mother was his first musical influence. She was the lead singer in one of the top North Carolina choirs and having the opportunity to be looked on by numerous labels dominating the 80’s, Denise, Killz’s mother put her aspirations aside to raise a family. Finding that spark and love for the art form that she once had in her son, she supported and surrounded Killz with music to makeup for her lost dream. Marvin Gaye, Biggie, James Brown, Nas, Aretha Franklin, and Q Tip just to name a few would blare through the 2 bedroom apartment his family of 5 would call home. Writing his first song at age 8, Killz found this talent to be more than just a hobby but instead an ambition. Over the years many battles, open mics, and concerts opening up for the like of Nappy Roots, Wu-Tang,Cash Money(Baby,LIL WAYNE, Brisco)and Dipset would ensue. Though Killz would dominate the battle scene leaving his challengers enraged at his honest yet brutal comebacks, Killz does not define himself as a battle rapper but instead as songwriter with memorable and captivating words.



KILLZ currently resides in Jook City also Known as Tampa, FL. Florida is just one of the many places that he has lived. He believes moving around from state to state was a blessing in disguise. Because of all his travels he has been introduced to many cultures styles and slangs, which makes him able to relate to a broader amount of people. KILLZ is versitile and his words are strong. He is humble but he is also hungry for greatness.
