JION

Jion got together in Rome in November, 2003. They are a three piece
alternative-rock band. The name "Jion" comes from the word katà used in
karate to mean a togetherness of movements representing a fortress.
JION have had numerous live performances in various venues and
have a large following. They also have received airplay on local radio stations including Radio Rock.
Their first EP "Testing the ground" released in 2004, showcased their first five songs.
In 2005 Jion released their 2nd EP "One to One" which featured "Never Change Yourself" and "Opinion".
Jion is currently working on new material and have recently released a video for their new single "Porn Queen".
Jion's live set covers over an hour of original music and their repertoire is constantly expanding and evolving.

Thanks to Jion's determination and the popularity of their EPs they have been invited to take part in a number of different important musical events:
- The M.E.I. (Meeting of Independent Labels) in Faenza (2004 & 2005),
-The "La Selva D'Oro" in Vetralla, where they took 3rd place (2005),
-The Nationally broadcast "La Fabbrica della Musica" on RAI Futura (2005),
-The National TV music show "Red Ronnie's Roxy Bar" (2006)
-They also performed at the "Oh!Bar" in Camdem Town, London (2006)
-The "Piper Club" in Rome (2007)
-"Ubix Rock Night" at Stazione Birra, Rome (2008)

- "TotalRock" Radio, London for "Never Change Yourself"
-"Radio Onda" Brasil for "Never Change Yourself" and "Porn Queen"
-"Radio Faycan" Spain for "Never Change Yourself"
-"Local Radio" Bremen, Germany for "Never Change Yourself" and "Porn Queen"
-"Radio Due RAI" Italy for "Never Change Yourself" and "Replacement Girl"
Awards:
Jion received 2 nominations from "Toronto Exclusive Awards" Magazine (2007) for "Best International Rock Song" and "Best Video" for the single "Never Change Yourself"
