Haitian born Brooklynite Jimy Carter has been trail blazing the New York Hip Hop scene for about 8 years. He has continuously proven that he belongs among the ranks of his peers from live shows to hard thumping records. Speaking of live shows, Jimy Carter (named after the 39th U.S. president Jimmy Carter himself) did one of his first performances opening up for Wyclef's group: Product G & B. Soon after, he appeared on a DVD hosted by Funk Master Flex highlighting unsigned artists. Where ever he goes & what ever he does as an artist, Jimy's presence is felt! With several expos, shows, events, cameos, & records under his belt, Jimy has not stopped growing, evolving, & moving in the right direction. Like his biggest inspiration L.L. Cool J., he plans to be a part of the chain to Hip Hop's future. Jimy Carter's music is unique to say the least. Through his music, he expresses truth & reality. He also pays close attention to the art of story telling. A few years ago, Jimy released a smash single called "The World" which went on to sell 15 thousand copies.
