Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom we give honor, glory and praise…
Jewell’s vision…God gave Jewell the vision to start a gospel group using saved Women of God that will not be ashamed to tell the dying world that Jesus is alive. Converted began singing God’s praises in the early summer of 2001. With such a flashy sound of quartet and contemporary gospel music, God has made this group of women truly one of Gospel music’s anointed, electrifying and breath-taking artist of this generation.
Jewell & Converted has brought back a “flavor” of gospel music that has been missing for quite some time. In November 2003, Jewell & Converted was named “Female Quartet of the Year” from the AGQC. In March 2004, Jewell & Converted received the Exclesisa Award in Jackson, MS. Phoenix Gospel Records saw the group realizing they are truly jewels of the rarest form, stepped in and signed Jewell &Converted to their label in June 2005. They have had the opportunity to minister to Gods people along with national recording artists such as: Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC’s, Evelyn Turrentine Agee, The Jackson Southernaires, The Canton Spirituals, The Christainaires, The William Brothers, and many more. They were named the 2008 Female Quartet Group of the Year by the Missouri Chapter of the AGQC. Jewell & Converted was blessed to travel to Italy and tour, ministering to those who normally would not have access to gospel music. In December 2008 they appeared on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel.
Jewell & Converted is rapidly being blessed to become one of the most sought after artist in the country. Converted has captivated their audiences with their unique style and energized performances.
