Thorstein Elvestad and Bjørn Nilsen formed Jetsurfers in 1999. Vidar Fredsvik and Knut Carlsson was recruited, and the 6 track CD Jetsurfers - Saloon was released later that year by Coco Pelli Records. Among the many gigs the band did to follow this release, was a dozen acoustic performances in jails and prisons in the southern part of Norway.

Grammofon AS Electra released their first long player, the critically acclaimed Jetlagged In Jetland late in 2000. The album gained good reviews in the Norwegian media, and its songs was frequently aired on radio stations all over Scandinavia.

Audun Norgaard replaced Carlsson in May 2001, and Lars Linkas replaced Vidar Fredsvik early in 2002. These two new members added new dimensions to Jetsurfers music, and kept the band moving in the right direction.

Grammofon AS Electra released their second long player, Wildcards in 2002. The song Fireworks became a hit at many radio stations, and once again the band gained good reviews.

By mid 2003 Jetsurfers was playing regularly at the acclaimed club Muddy Waters in Oslo, and decided to record a live album at the venue. An Evening At Muddy Waters was released by the band, and sold really well at gigs and through the official web pages. It was hailed as their best work to date by several reviewers.

Lars Linkas decided to leave the band early in 2004, and was replaced by Cato Monrad. Monrad joined just in time to participate in the recording of some songs for the new album, and the celebration of Jetsurfers five-year anniversary. Only to be replaced by the multi talented Ulf H. Aass later that year.

Five Years Down The Road was released by One Stop Entertainment in Norway. This anniversary album contains both new recordings and re-mastered versions of previously released songs. The songs from this album got a lot of attention and airplay on radio stations all over Europe and the US through a campaign by Comstock Records (Arizona, US).

Since then, Joachim Svendsen and Ivar H. Johansen has replaced Elvestad and Aass, bringing the band to further hights.

Jetsurfers has been really active on the road during these years. The band has played more than 550 gigs, including support slots for Mick Taylor, Johnny Winter, Hellbillies and Buddy Miller, and performed at several big Norwegian festivals. This tight schedule of live performances has earned the band a well-deserved reputation as one of Norways greatest live acts.

A new album; "Western Reality", was released in Norway by ACP/Musikkoperatoerene on May 29. Many fine reviews and lots of radio attention has followed, and the video for the first single; "The Rivers Roll" was in heavy rotation from April '07 to January '08 at Norways national tv station Nrk.

That Ol' Fishing Boat from WR was selected for inclusion on the Scandinavian compilation CD; Mr Music Country 11-2007, among mostly American artists. This track has also become a radio hit in the northern part of Norway.

A new video for the "Five Years." track Fireworks, has been frequently aired at Nrk's Country Jukebox since December '07.
