Jesse Stewart started singing with her father at the tender age of 4 in the basement of their Duanesburg, NY home with family and friends. From there Jesse learned to woo a crowd singing out at local karaoke bars, rodeos, and other local venues with her mom and dad behind her all the way. At 14 years old she relished the opportunity to sing at Cotton Hill Studios where she met David Malachowski, local guitarist, who at the time was touring with country music sensation Shania Twain. With that experience under her belt, she went on to Albany Academy for Girls and focused on her academics while developing her musical styles at home, playing guitar and writing music. After school Jesse went on to study Marine Biology at Eckerd College in St. Pete, FL, only to discover that her true passion was music. She left Eckerd College in hopes of attending Berklee School of Music in the winter, only to find there was no housing left on campus. Instead, she decided to stay home, earn some money and independence and attend in the fall. Fall came and went and Jesse enjoyed playing out at local venues and pursuing her musical career. In 2003, Jesse put her music on hold and she started her family. In the spring of 2004, her beautiful baby girl, Emma Rose was born and in the Fall of 2005, her son Andrew Stephen. Through the trials and tribulations of balancing marriage, family and her passion for music, she was inspired and started writing her songs. In 2007, Jesse reconnected with producer/guitarist/journalist David Malachowski and went to Bennett Studios in NJ to record the first part of her demo with Grammy Award winning engineer Dae Bennett, also the son of the famous Tony Bennett. From there she went on to meet many fabulous musicians who have all contributed to her style and her love of music. Jesse's music has been featured on several local radio stations including, WEXT 97.7FM Albany/Troy, WCJW 100.9FM Rochester, and WPYX 106.5FM and on the web at Crumbs.net. Jesse has also been featured in many local newspapers including The Schenectady Gazette, The Troy Record, The Saratogian and The Albany Times Union where she received her title as 3rd in the Capital District for best country group for 2008. She has had the opportunity of showcasing her talent at several local area venues such as Appletini's, Caffe Lena, The Parting Glass, Gaffney's, Bailey's Cafe, The Muddy Cup, The Linda, Sandy's Clam Bar, Jillian's and The Altamont Fair. She also had the pleasure of opening up for Nashville recording artist Jimmy Wayne at Troy's very own Chowder Fest, and for Nashville recording artist Chris Cagle at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, NY. Jesse continues to cultivate her passion for music through songwriting and performing locally in her band, The Jesse Stewart Band. When she is not singing or songwriting, she is spending time in her Clifton Park home with her dog, her cat, and her two beautiful children.
