Songwriter/pianist jesse gannon and his band the TRUTH has no problem with being put into this category has embraced the description willingly. A five piece, jessegannontruth delivers a shockingly fresh and dynamic show brandishing the fearless and charismatic drummer "Golden" Molden Picket and the spontaneous melder of rock, jazz, soul styles Eric Slaughter on guitar. Jesse's florid, hand-crafted acoustic and electronic key work provides a uniquely broad, supportive spectrum of color for his raspy, bold, and at times plaintive song. Completing the lineup are two bass players, which is perhaps the most obvious signal among conaisseurs at a performance that something interesting is about to be heard. These two sonic artisans are Teddy Brookins (Electric Bass) and "Deep" Bob Deboo (Contrabass). Teds sheer prowess and facile attention to the groove combines harmoniously with the sonic richness of Mr. Deboo's masterfully manhandled instrument. This provides the Truth with a much broader list of play options; not the least of which being an authentic employment of the traditional jazz idiom.

This innovative music collective was formed by JesseJamesGannon, who as a pianist, writer, producer, and vocalist, has been involved in several musical endeavors in St. Louis and abroad. In addition to playing many of the top musical venues in St .Louis, he has also traveled and shared the stage with such notables as The Temptations, Steve Ewing of the Urge, India Arie and also numerous local artist.
