PUBLISHED:  Apr 10, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Hear the David Zoffer Differential (DZD) and Jeremy Udden's Plainville team up for an amazing show, guesting on each other's sets. Both bands play original, epic melodic jazz. The DZD will feature lyrics & wordless vocals. Hear Jeremy on the EWI.

DZD music leans towards intricate grooves and colors, whereas Udden's music has been called, "Jazz for Wilco fans", but both bands share a love for melody and drama. Udden has played with the DZD before in his NYC home base, and his soaring, thoughtful playing added a soulfully succinct balance to the DZD's exuberance.

Zoffer's music has been praised as, "...what excellent contemporary jazz is all about!...something different, something lyrical, something filled with fine compositions and inventive performances" by JazzReview.com

The LA Times says, "Plainville is a richly engrossing project from the Brooklyn-by-way-of-Boston saxophonist that finds new ground between jazz, instrumental rock and folk...Udden's crew is just as comfortable carving out room in indie rock's territory, but jazz fans should be equally taken with this caliber of invention."

The groups feature some of the most gifted and eclectic performers of NYC and Boston. The David Zoffer Differential: Zoffer-Keys, Voc, Rebecca Shrimpton-Voc,
Jamie Stewardson- gtr, bs, Oscar Suchanek-dr.
Plainville: Jeremy Udden sax, Ryan Scott-gtr,
Eivind Opsvik-bs, Bill Campbell-drums
