Jenny Madison is an artist of rich integrity, with humble beginnings. From her bedroom in Louisville, Kentucky, Jenny spent her childhood writing songs and dreaming that some day she would move to Nashville and pursue her dream of becoming a recording artist. Before Jenny ever owned a guitar, she stood in front of the mirror with an old wooden tennis racket, pretending to perform. Those daydreams, along with many solos in front of the mirror filled Jenny with a respect for what it truly means to write a song and share it with an audience.
So, with many songs to share and a refreshingly pure outlook, Jenny moved to Nashville. Not long after her move, she landed a staff writing position with Nashville’s oldest and most prestigious publishing companies, Acuff-Rose Music Publishing. It was there that the young artist would receive a crash course in the music business. Her time there was certainly a great learning period, but Acuff-Rose’s outstanding history of writers and performers such as Hank Williams, Roy Orbison, and the Everly Brothers proved to inspire Jenny to follow the beat of her own drum.
Indeed, Jenny has come a long way since the old wooden tennis racket, as she has recently landed an endorsement with Luna Guitars. Yes, a real guitar with a lovely Phoenix, gracing the curve where her arm rests. Like the Phoenix, after spending this past year in the studio, Jenny is preparing to rise from the ashes once again and hit the road with her Sophomore release entitled, “What the Heart Knows.” Truly, what audiences know is that Jenny’s music is soulful and relevant, from her heart to theirs.
