Jenn Ryan is a singer/songwriter hailing from London, Ontario. Graduating from the Music Administrative Studies program at the University of Western Ontario before completing a post-grad in Music Industry Arts at Fanshawe College, Jenn quickly gained a following in Southern Ontario's folk scene in 2006 before heading south to Nashville, TN in 2008.





Singing and playing piano & violin from an early age, Jenn Ryan grew up performing in the London area, playing multiple shows at the London Children's Festival, the Canada Games, Home County Folk Fest, Brampton Folk Fest, Harvest Fest and Winterfolk, as well as featuring regularly at numerous folk clubs in Southern Ontario.



Jenn moved to the bustling core of Toronto in 2006, but the acoustic, choral and orchestral music she grew up on is what comes out in her writing and performances. Combining acoustic instruments and adding layers upon layers of vocals into a folksy sound that is her own, Jenn writes heart-felt songs based on themes of enduring love, excruciating loss, and redeeming life. Moving to Nashville in early 2008, Jenn continuing working on her first full-length album, recorded in her home studio. "Out In The Open" was self-released in October 2008, along with a whirlwind tour of Ontario, playing ten shows in seven days.
