Jeff Hill is a highly sought after bass player living in New York City.
While living in Chicago in the early nineties he was active on the music scene playing with jazzmen Von Freeman, Ira Sullivan, Johnny Frigo, Lin Halliday, Jodie Christian, and Curtis Fuller, among others. Jeff was also a member of the Sabertooth Jazz Quintet and Ted Sirota's Rebel Souls Ensemble.
In 1996 Jeff moved to NY City and in early 1999 he began touring and recording as a bassist and background vocalist with acclaimed singer songwriter Rufus Wainwright. He continues to tour and record as a member of his band. Jeff has also performed or recorded with Joan Baez, Martha Wainwright, Keren Ann, Wax Poetic, Shivaree, Rich Robinson, Teddy Thompson, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Cry Cry Cry, Peter Salett, Joan as Policewoman, David Mead, Jim Campilongo, Victoria Williams, Shannon McNally, Marshall Crenshaw, Linda Thompson, Robert Randolph, Chris Stills, Amy Correia, Trey Anastasio, Paula Cole, Harper Simon, Julianna Hatfield and The Scissor Sisters, the Brazilian Girls, among others.
