J.Cas

Born October 27, 1986, Castor was the middle child to a family

of five. Raised in his apartment complex, he learned to value

each day as a gift of life, instead of anger towards its disappointments.

For most of his childhood, family kept him out of trouble and harms

way. Seeing how his father took up music in his earlier days, Cas

grew interest.



Both hip hop & rock influenced him as he became more attached.

By the year 2005, he began recording mix-tapes with local artist

who shared similar views. Being new to its lifestyle, he went on to

learning its production at an earlier stage. Watching fellow engineers

at work gave him enough experience to move forward on his own.



"To me, lack of ability is everything, therefore I tend to have myself

soak in as much as possible to depend less on others" Cas explains.

Doing so, he managed to create his sound with less direction and

more freedom to explore.



During his career start, long time friend and producer, Dusty Olivera,

offered Cas the flag ship position of an up and coming label, Freddie

Urban. History with Olivera gave him the impression of a well thought

out & organized structure. He then began recording his now solo

album, "My Resume".



Exposed to the world of music, Cas finds himself working to become

an artist with plenty to give. Now a free agent, he begins his journey

on talent road. When asked of his past experiences, he replied:



"I take every day as a lesson to be forgotten, for I become more of

a well rounded musician as time passes. Every moment has its

music, and each question has its answer, music. The feeling you

get when playing your favorite song has no comparison to being

in my shoes and hearing myself in the head phones. Its like a pilot

on ecstacy lost in the bermuda triangle yes. that (ha)."
